PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy explains how New Forest First Aid Training (hereafter referred to as “I”), collects, uses, stores and processes personal data as a small business specialising in First Aid & Anaphylaxis Training. I am a freelance Instructor who is affiliated to and supported by Nuco Training Ltd. For certified courses, Nuco Training and First Aid Awards are the awarding organisation.
New Forest First Aid Training is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and is subject to the GDPR regulations with effect from 25th May 2018.
Types of data collected:
To provide a quotation I will ask for a name and e-mail address.
To enrol you on a course and provide a certificate I will ask for an e-mail address, name, residential address, if required, and contact telephone number.
If you are enrolled on a course, I will also ask if you have any back, neck or joint/ mobility problems that may affect your ability to kneel and practice CPR and defibrillation with manikins. Reasonable adjustments can be made if such problems are relevant and as such will be recorded on Nuco Training Ltd’s official paperwork (Learner Registration Forms).
If you enrol on a course I will collect:
Name & Place of Work (if appropriate)
Demographic and contact details e.g. residential or work address (depending on where certificates and invoices are requested to be sent).
How I collect your data:
As part of course enquiry and booking procedures directly from you when you enrol on a course or give permission for me to send a quotation for training courses.
From someone else acting on your behalf eg when someone else enrols you on a training course with your permission.
When I receive an enquiry from you via telephone or e-mail.
What I do with your data:
Internal record keeping; stored electronically on password protected documents.
Provide evidence or registration of attendance on a course and provide certificates of attendance or achievement with regard to a course.
Occasionally send promotional e-mails with your permission informing you of local, upcoming courses or special offers.
Who I share your data with:
The security of your data is paramount and every effort is made to keep it secure and private. I will never sell any of your details to third parties or e-mail you on their behalf.
For the purposes of obtaining a Certificate for a certified course, with your permission, your name will be passed onto Nuco Training Ltd so they can issue a certificate which I send or deliver to you. The privacy of all personal details that are recorded on Nuco Training Ltd’s official paperwork (Learner Registration Forms) when you attend a certified Course, are protected under Nuco Training Ltd’s Data Protection Policy and Privacy Policy which are available on their website (www.nucotraining.com).
How long do I keep your data?
If you enrol on a course, Nuco Training Ltd require me to hold records for 5 years. After that any paper-work is shredded and disposed of.
If I provide a quotation but you do not enrol on a course I will delete all personal data (name, telephone number and/ or e-mail address) after 1 month.
Your rights:
Under GDPR legislation you have a right to access any information held about you. In addition you have a right to be informed and to correct or erase any data. You also have a right to withdraw consent to hold data about you at any time.
