The Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F, is a perfect fit for individuals working in or planning to work within forestry, agricultural, or remote settings. This includes professionals like tree surgeons and farmers.
The course addresses various injuries and health risks specific to these environments, such as catastrophic bleeding and Lyme disease.
Intended to complement a regulated First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certification, this qualification is nationally accredited and has been tailored to align with the Forestry Commission's First Aid at Work Policy recommendations.

This course is ideal for anyone responsible for the care of children, whether in a professional or personal capacity. It provides the essential skills needed to deliver safe and effective treatment in a variety of paediatric first aid scenarios.
With our innovative Blended Learning option, participants can complete engaging e-Learning modules before attending a trainer-led classroom session focused on the hands-on aspects of Paediatric First Aid.
In accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework, all early years providers in England are required to have at least one qualified individual with a valid paediatric first aid certificate on-site and available whenever children are present.

The qualification meets the Outdoor First Aid Band 3 requirements set by the Institute for Outdoor Learning and the requirements for the first aid element of the expedition syllabus for the bronze, silver and gold Duke of Edinburgh awards. This is also an ideal course for Mountain Bike Leaders.
Syllabus
A range of outdoor First Aid related subjects are covered including:

• Incident management
• Summon assistance
• Chest and abdominal injuries • Primary survey

• Head and spinal injuries • Scene survey
• Anaphylaxis
• Resuscitation
• Eye injuries
• Hypovolaemic shock
The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement.
Learners will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years. It should be noted that if the qualification expires a person is no longer considered competent to act as a first aider in the workplace.
Assessment
The assessment is carried out through practical demonstration, oral questioning and a written assessment paper. Scenarios will be set to allow learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have gained.
The certificate is valid for 3 years and is issued by First Aid Awards, an Ofqual regulated organisation.
