Local Company Funds Life Saving First Aid Training for Crowlees School Pupils

Approximately 240 pupils in Years 3 to 6 to receive hands-on training delivered by New Forest First Aid Training Ltd

Crowlees School, Mirfield, has secured fully funded first aid training for approximately 240 pupils, thanks to the support of Elect Resourcing. The sessions will be delivered by New Forest First Aid Training Ltd as part of a wider initiative to equip young people with essential, life-saving skills.

Training will take place on 24th and 27th March 2026, providing pupils with practical, hands-on experience in CPR, the recovery position, DR ABC and how to respond effectively in an emergency situation.

Building Confidence and Life Skills Early

The initiative goes beyond standard curriculum expectations, giving pupils the opportunity to develop vital skills that could one day help save a life. Through the training, pupils will gain:

  • Practical CPR experience
  • Confidence to respond in an emergency
  • Understanding of how to seek help
  • Awareness of how their actions can protect family, friends and the wider community

New Forest First Aid Training Ltd continues to work towards its long-term mission of training one million young people in life-saving skills across the UK.

Community Collaboration

A spokesperson from Crowlees School said:

We are very thankful to Elect Resourcing for giving our pupils this wonderful opportunity. Support like this truly means a great deal to our school community.

At Crowlees, we work hard to create a place where every child feels safe, cared for and valued, and where kindness is part of everyday life. Offering first aid training fits beautifully with these values, helping our children grow in confidence while learning skills that could one day make a real and lasting difference.

A representative from Elect Resourcing added:

We are proud to support young people in our community. Providing practical first aid knowledge is an investment in safer families and a stronger local area.

New Forest First Aid Training Ltd also commented:

We are looking forward to delivering these sessions at Crowlees School and are incredibly grateful to Elect Resourcing for funding this initiative. Teaching children first aid not only gives them valuable skills but also builds their confidence to act in an emergency.

The long-term impact of this type of training goes far beyond the classroom. As these young people grow, they carry with them an awareness of hazards, the potential for injury, and how to respond effectively. This ultimately contributes to safer workplaces and communities.

James Osborne, Co-Owner of New Forest First Aid Training Ltd, said:

We are set on our mission not only to give school children the skills to save lives, but to nurture empathy, confidence and responsibility. Teaching these values early plants behaviours that last a lifetime.
