124 Pupils at The Holy Family Primary School Now Confident to Perform CPR After Funded Training

Community investment delivers measurable impact in first aid confidence

A total of 124 pupils at The Holy Family Catholic Primary School in Addlestone have gained vital, life-saving skills following a funded first aid training programme delivered by New Forest First Aid Training Ltd and supported by Fourfront Group.

The sessions formed part of the Mini Medics programme, designed to equip young people with practical knowledge and the confidence to respond in emergency situations. Pupils were assessed on their understanding before and after the training, with results showing a significant improvement across all key areas.

• Knowledge of recovery position increased by 78%
• Knowledge to DR ABC rose by 71%
• Knowledge of CPR increased by 75%
This measurable uplift demonstrates the immediate impact of practical, hands on training.

Beyond the numbers, the programme plays an important role in developing wider life skills. By introducing first aid early, pupils not only learn how to respond in emergencies but also build confidence, empathy and a sense of responsibility,

all of which contribute to safer communities over time.

A spokesperson from The Holy Family Catholic Primary School said:

We enjoyed welcoming New Forest First Aid Training to deliver their Mini Medics programme at The Holy Family Catholic Primary School. Teaching first aid at a young age gives our pupils essential life skills, builds confidence and encourages responsibility.

We would like to thank Fourfront Group for sponsoring this valuable opportunity to our children.

Fourfront Group, who funded the initiative, highlighted the importance of community impact alongside their core work:

Supporting the Mini Medics programme was a great opportunity to work with our client F5 on an initiative that benefits the local community. Through our Project Positive initiative, we aim to create a positive impact alongside the projects we deliver, and this was a great project to be involved in.

New Forest First Aid Training Ltd also emphasised the long-term value of early education:

We are extremely grateful to Fourfront Group and Area through their Project Positive initiative for their support in making these Mini Medics sessions possible. Their contribution has enabled us to equip young students at The Holy Family Primary School with essential first aid skills, empowering them with the confidence to respond in emergency situations.

It’s incredibly rewarding to see children engage so enthusiastically with learning life-saving techniques. Early education like this can make a real difference in building safer, more resilient communities.
